How to Take Care of Women Alpaca Sweater?

Alpaca sweaters are very soft and maybe fluffy or silky, depending on the type of alpaca species. In new conditions, these sweaters retain their feathery tenderness and are incredibly comfortable on the skin. However, if proper care is not taken, these garments may give in to wear and tear.

Alpaca sweaters are best maintained when you hand wash them. Thus, we have provided here the steps to wash women's alpaca sweaters, along with the don’ts in this regard, so that you can wear them for a longer period, retaining their quality.

Steps of Hand-washing Alpaca Sweaters

·        . Wash the women's alpaca sweater with mild shampoo or soap in warm water.

·        . Spread the wet sweater on a dry towel and press it gently to remove the excess water. Repeat this step      if excess water persists.

·          .Spread the garment on a dry towel to air-dry it.

·          .When the alpaca sweater is completely dry, fold it carefully without creating creases.

·           .Keep it flat in your storage area.

The No-No’s for Alpaca Sweaters

·         Do not use any harsh detergent.

·         Do not wring or twist.

·         Do not hang on hangers.

·         Do not fold with creases.

Machine Washing of Alpaca Sweaters

The fashion experts at The Best of Peru do not recommend machine washing of the women's alpaca sweateras the extreme velocity and agitation of the devices may cause the sweaters to lose shape or shrink. However, if you are uncomfortable with hand washing, especially for stubborn stains, you should use wool wash cycles in your washing machine that will handle the garments delicately. If your device lacks a wool washing option, dry cleaning will be the alternative method.
